If I wasn't applying the finish myself, I would not recommend a thing. Two reasons, in my opinion. One, if they don't like the finish, you're on the hook. Two, I feel it devalues my service, if they see how "easy" it may be.

Default the truth is

in your area saltillo tiles may be a big opportunity for you. they are rare here, and we dont even go on estimates for them.

Default saltillo

in this area we see it once in a blue moon on jobs (carpet cleaning) and most are finished with urethane. my understanding is that this requires stripping with a solvent based stripper. i decided a long time ago not to provide this service.

this lady was referred and i mentioned there might be a DIY product for her. she applied the original finish 20 years ago. i told her if it were me i would get a soy based stripper and find a product that would be easy to apply.

when i s/w a DIY i really try my best to help them, in hopes it will come back to me one day. some people just want some info, and i am always glad to give it. on this topic that is all i give since we dont do it.
