Default Ramp

What kind of ramps are you guys using? Home made ramps? Anyone use pet ramps for their porties? They fold and are light weight, but may not have the weight capacity.

Frank,
I have not seen any suitable portable ramps. More are to cumbersome and not worth the effort.

Try Harbor Freight. They have a few to choose from that might work for you.

I have a good one for you, been using for years for my portable extractor, or any other equipment, I believe the capacity is 300 pounds, I will post more information this evening, with the company name and number.

Thanks Gerald,
That would be great! BTW, I noticed you're just north of me. I'm in Miami. Good to see a local cleaner on here.

Yes, remember we are in the tile capital of the world. Anyhow, I had to look at my ramp. The company is called Homar Mobility 1-800-833-0478, or their web site is To view links in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. Your post count is 0 momentarily.. They are out of Sarasota, FL, and correction, the weight capacity is 725 pounds. This ramp is awesome, it folds in half, and it does not take up much space. I've been using it close to 8-9 years now, not one problem. I try to lift as less as possible, besides my swing machine, this will really help save your back. A great investment.

Default Ramps

They are necessary to load and unload a portable without
killing your back.

You can get one for under $400. I found mine on eBay for $195.
