Default Sham Wow......what a load of C@#$

Wife makes me buy this stupid thing in Target.

First big spill I grab one and it's as absorbent as a silk hanky.
20 bucks for 3 dollars worth of shop rags.

cary did you rinse it out/hand was it before you used the first time?

It might have a flame retardent on it like new towels do. Try drying yourself off w/ a brand new towel. It doesn't work that well. After it has been washed it will absorb.

Not sure if that is what is going on. I have heard they are crap.

actually I don't like the GP ones either. They are good, bt I found some just like them at my local tool supply that are even better. Look the same but are a little thinner and are easier to use.

No doubt the GP ones are better than the freakin Sham Wow.

hmmmm, I do believe GP shams are simply un-labeled sham wows.... I know at one point Dick had told me to buy some extra shammies because he didn't know when he would be able to get another freight container in...this was right as the sham wow craze was starting.

Have not used them for color seal clean up yet.

Cary maybe you didn't follow the instructions correctly. LOL

Who knows. i think eric might be right. you have to "break them in" first. Seems like they do have some kind of chemical on them when you first buy 'em.

We knew you were reffering to water but I think we got thinking of other shammies that we know of and compared the Sham Wow to them in our minds and posted about it.

I would rather have the $1 shammie at my local tool supply joint for both cs jobs and for picking up water etc.... over the sham wow.

sham wow identical to the GP towels. they work the same.

the sham wow will not work well when bone dry. get it wet, wring it out then use it. they work very very well.

I dropped a tube of red polyester color on a white carpet. got the sham wow/gp towel out, damp, punched the living daylights out of it into the carpet and it sucked the red right out.

they work, just dont use them dry.

I do not know if they work or not, but I can tell you that I love Vince. Have you ever seen his "slap Chop" comercial???? All I have to say is "you gonna love these nuts"..

I was hoping somebody would put that up there. I laughed my A$$ off when I heard that my man vince got beat up by a hooker. I guess she did not "love his nuts". I am speaking of the slap chop of course.

I heard He said your gonna love my nuts. Then she bit his tounge , then gave his nuts a slap chop. Thus the need for a (damp) Sham wow. Remember never use them dry they work better when moist.

I tossed all our shamwows. Worthless. But that slapchop thing could work out nicely.
